It looked like tee with a radiator cap on the top.
I'm using the stock radiator out of my 1979 Chev.
Mounting it behind my lower grille. I need something like what I saw in the pic so I can access the cap, because the cap on my radiator will be innaccessible.
I need to know what that item is called and if anyone knows where to get one, it would be appreciated. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 586 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 586 | I think you saw it on the LOWER hose.Check out the system on a 2004 Chevy truck.They use a nice "T" in the lower hose(suction side)up to the overflow tank.Check your local junk yards for wrecked trucks.

Most of the ones I've seen are made by a radiator shop using an inline pipe with a radiator neck welded or brazed to it. I would check with a radiator shop to see if one can be made up using the correct size pipe to fit with the size hose you have. If you have one made up, the neck used might be from a later model vehicle and the neck might be a pressurized neck that will use a pressurised cap. You need to be sure your radiator will hold the pressure you are expecting it to hold. A 79 Chevrolet radiator will accept quite a bit of pressure, but I would be sure it is in good condition. Joe
