One day while driving on a country road, I had the window down, heard a very faint scraping noise I could barely hear with the window down. Checked and one front drum was hot and the other wasn’t. Fast forward to today and I found the culprit, spring inside snapped in half. Now I need a replacement spring and can’t find one. Anyone have one or two for sale, or where I can buy one? Looked on rock auto and didn’t find anything but the wheel cylinders, which I’m replacing while in in there because it leaks.

Truck is a 1940 1.5 ton.

Hy Tony292, Jim Carter has their part number ME148, fits 46 -52 3/4 ton rear end and 36 - 52 1, 1 1/2 and 2 ton front and rear (5/8" X 7"), I won't quote price as my catalogue is an old one, hope that helps.

Thanks!! Found them and ordered 3 so I’ll have a couple of spares.
