Hello, I see the old thread is now locked. I have had it in my head for a long time now that I was going to adapt the front spindles from an F350 as per the P30 route but the steering linkage is a bit messy.
Just looking through the old P30 thread, I get a little confused with the terminology used in describing what p30 axle to use is the best.
what is the difference between the 8 on 165 p30spindles and the 5/10 bolt p30 spindles. are the king pin sizes and steering linkages the same?

from what year p30 am I looking for. Iam in Australia and have zero knowledge on these vans as we never got them.

Hello Digga1111,
I am also in Aus and have done a F350 2015 14inch disc brake upgrade on my 1958 Chevy 2 tonne front axle , used the standard chev spindles and just made up plates to hold calipers, has worked well, needed to space out the bearings 10mm to ensure same wheelbase at the front for engineering/roadworthy purposes .
Always keen to hear from another big bolt fan in Aus so drop me a line with your contact details if interested
