Its been 1 full year since I dragged it out of its almost grave from a 2nd story garage/barn. 90% of the parts were with the truck scattered about. Its all 100% stock appearing on the outside and the interior. Only part not stock is the LS powerplant hiding under the hood. Lots of planning and cutting/moving/welding/ to be at the point its at now. I drove it under its own power exactly 50 days after purchasing and now that its been a full year I have over 5000 miles on it and its never left me stranded. Its a fuel injected V8 with factory column shifted 3speed w/electric overdrive, heat, AC, and all 100% functional stock equipment still in it all the way down to vacuum operated wipers. Still a ongoing project but im happy with how it turned out when the plan all came together.

Thank you and yes I have absolutely zero intentions of ever parting with it. I have worked on every single part on this truck and Im proud of that. Still not “done” (never will be) .

34 Years. Now with a '61 261, 848 head, Rochester Monojet carb, SM420 4-speed, 4.10 rear, dual reservoir MC, Bendix up front, 235/85R16 tires, 12-volt w/alternator, electric wipers and a modern radio in the glove box.

I have been asked over 20 times if its for sale. Probably 5 guys were actually serious buyers. The normal most popular questions are these in order... 1. What year is that? 2. Are you gonna paint it? 3. Is it for sale and how much?

Yea I didn’t mess around. I get in the zone when I have a good project. I was out there almost every night mon-fri until midnight then getting up at 5am for work. Weekends i would do as much as i had time to do. Once it was on the road I throttled back on it.
