I recently bought an OD transmission. I have all the electronic components but need the bracket to hold the kickdown switch to the carburator, and the tab which connects to the linkage - which the kickdown switch pushes against when the throttle is mashed down to cut off the OD unit.

Does anyone know of a vendor or source to get these items? Does anyone have them and can give me an idea on how to make my own.

Thank you

I run my '62 3sp+od off of a lighted switch on the dash and don't use any of the kick-down or carb. pariphernalia. The important thing to remember is not to start out in overdrive. I assume you've checked it out before installing. Mine is the non-synchro 1st gear model.

First are you running a I6 or V8? If it's a I6 time to use 2 barrel bracket that's modified or make your own. The best I6 set-up I saw was using a clip off the shifter linkage on the trottle rod to close the switch at the carb. There is a place called C&P Automotive in Kulpsville, PA that might be able to help, the phone number is 800-235-2475.

Dennis - check the wreckers and look at kickdowns on any later automatic - shouldn't be hard to adapt or fab yer own based on what ya see
