I lucked across this truck in N.M. It is a 1958 370 with a big rear window. Never have I seen one so I had to rescue it. NOM , but who cares. It has single headlights. I thought all 58's had doubles. Any comments on that?
In 1958, 1959 GMC had a "Fleet Truck" option where even half ton trucks had just two head lights and a Chevy "V" design instrument cluster with a tiny GMC script at the bottom.
COE is Cab Over Engine...driver sits above the engine.
LCF is a Low Cab Forward and is a Chevrolet term where the cab is pushed forward into the engine compartment. The engine is in front of the driver. The same style truck from GMC was called the Model "F".
Chevrolet didn't make a COE from 1955.2 thru 1959, they came back with the Tilt Cab in 1960. From 1955.2 thru 1959 GMC made both the Model "F" and COE's.
Big Back Windows were an option and available on every series, there are no production figures on any optional equipment.
