I just saw the posts about cleaning hood emblems, and I have a similar question. How do you repaint (and what colors do you use) the space between the vertical lines in the center. It appears it used to be black. Also, was the interior of the Chevy bowtie painted as well? The very bottom seems to have some reddish paint still visible.
You might try the GM Heritage Center. Scroll down to Page 62. It shows the bowtie painted "Insignia Red", some other parts (assuming between the bars) painted dull black. It's kind of hard to see detail in it, but should help.

Hard to tell from your picture. This may help you figure it out. If I was forced to say which, I'd guess Crystal Blue, which seems the least "blue" of the choices.
