56 Taskforce truck with 265 sbc standard as far as I know.I have this hub that I have taken off my crank with no bolt to secure it and the crank isnt drilled and tapped.What I want to do is replace the single groove pulley which was bolted to the hub, and replace it with a double groove pulley so I can add a belt to run the power steering pump I plan to fit.Can this be done or do I have to go another route? Thanks
You need a new vibration damper- - - -the outer ring and the rubber piece that holds them together is missing. There are new ones available on Ebay. The original damper for a 265 was 6" in diameter, but slightly larger ones will fit and work OK as long as the damper doesn't touch the motor mount brackets on either side of the crankshaft snout. Any 3-bolt Chevy pulley should fit, as long as it clears the motor mounts. Jerry
