Just an idea im tossing around for my stake body.... Id love to see some pics or ideas! | | | | | Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 892 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 892 | The 3800 and 4100 have very similar frames, same wheel base, frame cross section, etc. You could take a 1-ton pickup bed and put it on a 4100 but I believe the 4400 used a heavier frame with a longer wheelbase. But, that frame could be ordered as a heavy-duty frame on a 4100, RPO xxxx. There may be a short wheelbase 4400 out there somewhere. 1951 3800 1-ton"Earning its keep from the get-go"In the DITY Gallery1962 261 (w/cam, Fenton headers, 2 carbs, MSD ign.), SM420 & Brown-Lipe 6231A 3spd aux. trans, stock axles & brakes. The second "number" in the series indicated the chassis wheel base, so all factory 4400's are the same length... Liquidated my projects Now looking for a decent '47-'55.1 3100, 3600, or 3800
