does anybody know whether you can buy US made wheel cylinders for chevy 1948 3600??

It’s been a long time since I have seen an honest to goodness made in USA new wheel cylinder. On the other hand, you could send your originals to white post restoration and have them rebuild. In the USA and get a lifetime warranty along with the rebuilt. Not the cheapest though.

Absolute luck of the draw but I bought 4 wheel cylinders and a master cylinder from Rock Auto about 5 years ago (for a 3100) on one of their "supplier closeout" offers and when I got them, all 4 of the wheel cylinders were made in the USA. The boxes were pretty old and very shopworn, so I suppose they got them from some parts house or warehouse who was closing. I took them apart and checked all the rubber parts before using them but they were ok. The master cylinder wasn't US made...maybe Brazil, Spain, something like that?

GM NOS wheel cylinders are available if you act quickly & buy them up .

These old NOS wheel cylinders are USA made old time quality original oem GM parts .

These old originals are a scarce part & not easy to find

They can be taken apart easily and parts can be checked & cleaned if necessary .

These NOS cylinders cost way less then made in china repro's or having yours re-lined
