Insulation on the underside of the hood just promotes rust. Plus it won’t quiet things down at all if that’s what your wanting.

Off topic discussions about Cars belong in the Greasy Spoon. Studebakers are cool but in this case it’s a Car.

Of course you are correct on both matters.

But, in case anyone cares : Studebaker Trucks

And, "Four-wheel drive was available on 1/2 and 3/4-ton models beginning in 1957. Studebaker did not make the 4WD equipment themselves, but (in common with Chevrolet and GMC at the time) purchased the hardware from NAPCO (Northwestern Auto Parts Company).
