Brand new to the Stovebolt forum and excited to get some info and share lessons learned. Two weeks ago i brought home a very rough, but original 1955 1st series Chevy 3600, this is meant to be a project for my boys who are 14 and 17. I have a mildly hot rodded 1955 F100 (don't hate me ...lol) that has been in the family for almost 50 years, and has been my labour of love for the last 10. But the Chevy is our new project that hopefully my boys will grow to love (and sometimes hate) and learn something along the way.

My son has grown up with my '63. He loves to work on her. He's going to be 32 next week. It is his when I go to the next place. Those boys will have memories that last a lifetime. Welcome to the Stovebolt.

This is a 1955, but obviously the PO had fit an earlier front clip and doors, luckily it came with the 55 front clip and doors, and most of the pieces to put together the box. The box sides are only 6.5' long, and I don't think that is correct for a 125" wheelbase, so I will need to do some research before i decide on the box or a flat deck.
I prefer a box, because one can just toss in whatever needs to be transported (usually). AND I don't mind mix and matching parts. My 67 suburban has quite a few 68 parts on it, I like to keep em guessin'
