Where might I find a PTO housing and gear for my 1952 big bolt. Need the entire set up that bolts onto driver side of the transmission. Thank you, Scott

You should have an SM-420 transmission, but you might want to verify. Once PTO's are taken off a trans, they loose their ID, so be careful in looking at a prospective subject. Some have straight cut gears, some have helical gears, which have to mate with same type of gears.

What kind of accessory are you planning to operate? Some PTO's are able to reverse directions for driving a winch or some other part that needs to turn both ways, while others that run something like a hydraulic pump for a dump bed only need to turn one direction. There are usually some PTO's listed on Ebay, so don't forget to look there.

The also have horsepower ratings, that could also be important depending on the duty. There is of course a lot of information on model fitments and specifications on line. Searching for Chelsea or other brands brings up tons of information.

You can also search your local Craigslist for SM420. Looking on mine, I see a guy that has a pair of them for sale.
