I found this site while looking for info on 292 cu in engines.

Check out the pics and movies. Very cool.

These guys are very nice folks. I have spoken with them on the phone. I am building something similar. I would attach pictures if I could figure out how. My truck is a '50 with a 292 utilizing a Kirby Sissell head with Hilborn injection but no nitrous. My engine dyno'd at about 468hp. The truck is running a Ford 9" with an aluminum Moser 3rd member and 35 spline axles. It is a nostalgia racer type truck so I'm using a Jerico 4 speed to keep it fun to drive. I thought it was going to make some passes this season but it just didn't happen. We should be ready for this spring and looking forward to it!

I would think a standard Muncie 4-speed would be adequate as well, considering they were found on the back of big block musclecars in the 60's and 70's. But a Jerico is definitely a cool transmission!

Tell me more about your 292. I'd like to know the specifications if you don't mind...Compression, pistons, aftermarket rods?, camshaft(especially the camshaft), your redline, etc.

I want to know because I think I'll replace my broken 235 with a 292 that's built to run. I've got spare turbochargers, and if I can find forged pistons, I might go with a little force induction.

Thanks.
