The 350 V8 has been fitted with main exhaust portals (sweptback shorty hedman headers), the Mallory HEI ignition is green lighted, the fuel pump (Holley) is provide fuel to the correct PSI, the coolant levels are within parameters, the main navigation control (power steering is functional, the primary air/fuel mixer (Edelbrock 600 CFM) is mixing and the main friction reducer levels are to the proper levels.

Ignition is set to on, fuel is set to half, and the starter button is initiated. SHE LIVES! Fired right up.

After looking at the engine for about 3 years it now is alive. Transmission (TH350) is shifting as expected and the power brake system is working fine.

We then stabbed on the Summit Turbo mufflers using temporary hoses and clamps to determine if we liked the tone and were pleased as punch with them until a friend stopped by and offered up a set of Flowmasters he was not going to use. Believe they are the series 40 mufflers. We stabbed them on tonight and the decision is to go with the Flows. The Summit turbos will have to wait for the next project.

No more pushing the truck back and forth. It now moves under its own power. Cross that off the punch list. Only 104 items left to go. Pics of the finished power train will be posted soon.
