For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 7 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 7 | I just bought what I was told to be 47-53 AD truck frame with a mustang IFS and a camaro rear end. I picked the whole thing up for $250 so i didnt really care. It is a very nice job boxed and straight the frame is a lot narrower but the cab mounts are wider then my 53 GMC so it leads me to belive it isnt a GM frame. So my questions are this Mustang 2 front end sits really low in the front I cant decide weather its the 14" tires or its truely low. Also where is the best place to buy parts for the front end bushings, calipers, etc. are there any crossover cars with the same suspension stuff the Mustang II and the pintos are very rare at the yard. If any one can help I would apperciate it | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 113 Member | | Member Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 113 | The aftermarket Mustang II kits generally sit pretty low. It might also have dropped spindles in the front that make it sit lower than usual. Do a search on this site for replacement parts. They have Mustang II bushings, etc. That's where I bought mine a few years back. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/ | | | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 7 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 7 | I don't think this is an aftermarket one though it doesnt look nice enough to be an aftermarket but it may have drop spindles how could i tell? | | |
