I was just mocking up the front of my 46 Art Deco
half ton with an S10 clip and pwr steering. I found out that the power steering unit on the drivers side interferes with the 46 Radiator and I'm unable to get it low enough by about an inch.
I was wondering if anyone with the Art Deco 1/2 tons out there on an S10 Frame ran into the same problem and if you can advise me the answer. I might be able to lift the rad slightly in the rad support which seems to me like the only way out as there is some clearance at the top but then it might interfere with the cowlings.

I have read about some of the AD trucks modifying the radiator support to allow some room to slide the bottom of the radiator forward where the radiator is actually at a slight angle. Not sure how they fit on the 46, but just an idea to think about if you have room. Also might look at moving it on the opposite side of the support. Just a few ideas for thought.

Yes, I think everyone has this problem. I have a picture at http://www.msnusers.com/Evanscars Click on "pictures", "show photos", and go to picture #S10-051. It might be on page 1, 2, or 3. You can see the old bolt hole with the bolt in the new one about two inches lower. When we raised the radiator up 2" we could only run a 16" fan and still clear the lower radiator hose outlet. So far no problem and that's with a/c in Texas.

Thanks for the info, I figured 2 inches would be plenty. bob T
