| | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 262 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 262 | Hope someone can help me out here. I have a 283 in my '49 with an adapter kit to use spin-on oil filters. I was running about 30-35 lbs oil pressure when all of sudden it went to a little over 40 lbs.. I now have oil running out around the adapter. Put in a new one with a new gasket and it finally slowed down, but it still runs out. Almost like too much pressure is pushing the oil out past the gasket. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanx
