Hey Bolters, wondering what length universal 2 point seat belts anyone has installed in their trucks. Don't want a whole bunch of belt laying all over in the cab. We are average size people and maybe one of the grand kids in middle once in a while. Thanks for any help! Bill

Bill,
I have used Beam's lap belts with the lift lever aircraft style buckle. The last set I ordered (Classic Parts part # 28-068) I noticed that the buckle insert end had a shorter belt than what I had used before. This means that when you unbuckled and got out of the truck, the metal end would not fall and hit the running board. This leaves a chip in the paint when that happens. The latch end of the belt is long enough, unless you are really large. About $25 per set. Always install the shorter belt towards the door so you don't have the latch end clunking down on your nice running board.

Thanks for the reply Kent. Just about done with my truck. As we still have 35" of snow on the ground I will have plenty of time to finish before spring. Bill

I agree with Kent, the door lettering really fits the truck. You may need to explain "Engine Salvage" though grin...

Ha! My dad was a big collector of hit and miss engines. Of course that also ended up in my blood. I have collected engines for 40 years and have always wanted to restore a truck. When I retired after 38 years of being a lineman I said now is the time. Found the 37 truck 50 miles from home and after 2 years of resto my truck is 99 percent complete. So now while driving my new toy around I can get back to "engine salvage"

P.S.
Would like to thank all of the Bolters and this forum for all the help!

The ATHS truck and farm equipment show in NY usually had old farm tractors (some were steam driven) and a large hit-or-miss engine area with many doing their “work”.
