I was browsing around on the Santa Barbara Craigslist and found an AD 1/2 ton rear bumper. I'll be heading down there tomorrow for a week and was thinking about buying it, but unfortunately, the post is gone. He was selling that, a front apron, and a very nice looking grille for nearly giveaway prices (I think he was asking less than $100 for the grille and less than $50 for the bumper.)
I hope someone got a good deal on them.

My front bumper popped up on craigslist like 1.5hrs away from me in Massachusetts and I literally called him and hopped in my ole gmc and hit the road and bought it. He said he sells stuff within 2 days usually. I was glad because i got a fair deal and it matched the patina on the truck. Didn’t want to buy some flimsy repop one. Definitely gotta act fast and have cash to score the good deals......and be willing to drive some.

I always end up selling stuff for way less than it should sell for many times. But it sells quick, and I don't have to look at it taking up room, or just pitching it. Bird in the hand is worth more than 2 in the bush, or something like that.

Thanks Todd, but I wasn't looking for the grille, but the rear bumper.

No, just flew down for my mom's 97th birthday. Looking for parts is just incidental. I get two free checked bags, so with the wife along that could be lots of free shipping. I brought a grille back with me a couple visits ago. smile
