Hi All,

So I have a stock 57 truck straight 6 235 that does not have the horn wiring connected.

1. Has an original steering wheel with nos contact plate and button (I installed )

2. The horn relay is installed on the firewall with the original connector hooked up to it.

3. My truck has only one horn mounted on the driver side near the radiator as original and has the stock connector hooked to it.

4. I see there is a black wire with fitted with a spade connector coming from the steering column just hanging there. Where does it suppose to be connected?

Any help would be appreciated. If anyone has pics from under the horn cap and where that black wire coming from the column goes that would really help me out.

Here is a recent post on that subject that may help. [Click]

The wire you found coming from the steering column is connected to the horn button on your steering wheel, which makes the final ground to sound your horn.

The wire coming from the column has a spade fitting. Where does it go to?

The wire on the column would go to one horn relay coil terminal, with power being supplied to the other coil terminal.
