Looking for some insight on a Frenched Headlight kit. I have a '46 1/2 ton. On my cruises of the internet, I have come across a kit from Hagan and Chev's of the 40's. Not a great deal of description on either one however. Has anyone used one of these kits? If so, any thoughts would be helpfull. Is there any other kits out there for '41-'46 that I've missed

I've never used one myself, but I can tell you how they work. Essentially it involves moving the headlamp mounting back in the housing to get a "French cuff" look. There is some welding involved to install the ring. Most kits I've seen are universal, not for any specific vehicle. You may check Rod & Custom, they have run articles on this, 'Ol Skool Rods is another good scorce-they have Gene Winfeild do a tech column for them. Check Mooneyes for kits.

Are there any other old f**ts like me that remember when it was hard to find a 54 ford headlight ring in the junkyards because all of us Barris brothers wannabes were hoarding them? It wouldn't surprise me if a Hagan ring would bolt right on a 54.
