I have two near perfect 54 doors I would like to use on my 49 , but would like to use the 49 window setup without the vent windows.
Has anyone used this setup in the past?

Door handles are different, too.

When I used my original 53 doors on my 49 cab, I found that I had to make door strikers for them to work. The 49 strikers didn't work with the 53 doors, and the 53 strikers didn't work with the 49 cab. There is a post on here about fabbing the new strikers, and somewhere I have a description of what I did. It involves cutting the ends off of both styles of striker, then welding the center of one type to the top and bottom of the other type. I'll see if I can find a photo or a link.

I am currently digging back in to a 1953 3800 (one ton) with a nine foot bed. I've owned it since 1979, and drove it until 1982 (or so). My wife got me involved in restoring it back in 2002, got the body removed and the frame redone, then things came up. Now I am retired and starting again. If anyone is interested I have photos on Imagur ( https://timwhiteblues.imgur.com/ ). I live way back in the woods in the Ozarks on 40 acres at the end of a 2 1/2 mile private road.
