1953 long bed 3/4 ton. Original rims are rusty. They are the split rims with the retainer ring. Is it practical to reuse them or would I be better off to find one piece rims? What about safety issues with the 2-piece rims? They are the eight hole rims that came on 3/4 ton trucks. Can tubeless tires be mounted on the 2-piece rims? If I use tubes, are liners available? The tire size is 7.60 x 15. I would like to find a string with a good thorough discussion on this topic. Comments, advice, experience, knowledge, etc., all greatly appreciated, not necessarily in that order. Thanks.
