old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 224 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 224 | Research here says the ‘47-‘48 grill inner bars were “channel green”. I’ve researched and I can find anything that refers to this color. Has anybody run across this before? My understanding would be the basic truck color- whatever- but the inner grill bars were all channel green? Seems this a two ear phenom. Plus likely not too many of these two years left in original condition. Anyone have any info? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | I have seen Channel Green referenced for Standard Colors (two-tone) on Carryall Suburban; Fathom Green - Upper, and Channel Green - Lower Here is GM paint code information for various years | | |
