On the nterior paint is value detracted when painted body color? Many folks do it cuz it looks good but what does it do for valye and desireability for a sale? | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 Bubba - Curmudgeon | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 | It does not increase/enhance the price, compared to painting it original colors.
You will never be able to say "painted/restored" to original. | | | | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 3,374 Moderator - The Electrical Bay | Moderator - The Electrical Bay Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 3,374 | I've had vehicles that are essentially the same color everywhere... I didn't care for that much. I think that there should be some other color to break up the single color.

I'm changing the interior door panels to a gray color for now, but not really sure yet.

I don't mind so much if they are painted body color everywhere, but if somebody wants me to spend any time looking at their ride, they'd better have some original flavor for me to see.

I use English Paint here in Dallas, but on the running boards please consider painting with catalyzed (hardened) paint. 10, 15 or 30 years later you'll be glad you did. As for colors, you're on the right track. I've done it both ways. You get really tired of the same color everywhere and the Chevy folks knew that.
