I try to do as much mechanical work as I can on my truck and for years have been wanting to change the diff ratio The chev specialists in town have recently swapped out the existing diff & torque tube and replaced it with a 37 car Diff and torque tube altering the diff ratio from 4.1 to 3.7 Looking forward to testing it out on the weekend Any on else done this swap
You should be fine with that swap. 4.1 to 3.7 is a significant enough difference to bring your RPM down at highway speeds without the truck becoming a tired old dog in first gear.
