| | | | Joined: Jul 2019 Posts: 51 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2019 Posts: 51 | For the 1951 Chevy 3600 (3/4 ton) some sites advertise the same wheel cylinder for front and rear, and other sales sites advertise a different style for front and rear. Who's correct? I've read the descriptions carefully, and read the 1948-1953 Chevrolet Shop Manual (Sections 5-3 and 5-5) and the shop manual images suggest the same wheel cylinder for all wheels. Only asking because I don't have time for returns to an online parts store because they're advertising is wrong. Any suggestions or clarity on this?

The fronts are different in the direction of the brake line pointing as they angle for access and the side to side difference makes them both point the same direction. Wow! I checked a bunch of other places and noticed wheel cylinders were listed different for 3/4 tons but then when i called JC they never even asked. I actually asked them and they said they didn’t have anything different listed. I was all worried about it but after a while I decided to just roll with it because i was still moving forward with all the other stuff and i put it all together with the dual master and it all works flawlessly. It actually stops way better than i hoped for. So moral of the story is..... i dont know. BUT the stuff JC sold me is in and working perfect. | | |
