does any one have a mustang 2 frount end under your truck with a v8 in it looking to do this to my truck but would like to know the finish ride higth on frount.also what kind of rears are you guys using with out cutting them down my truck is a 42

I saw several done like that in car shows this year. That IFS literally slams the front of your truck close to the ground. If you like that look, the ride is said to be very supple and car-like. But if you like your truck to look more trucky than that, then perhaps another option will work better, like maybe a more modern 2WD truck's IFS instead of a Mustang II IFS.

It dropped my 39 about 8 inches. I used a hiedts (spelling?) crossmember.

As far aa a rear I used a 9" ford out of a 72 Cougar, It was about a 1/2" wider than the original.

I put a M II frontend under my '46 Panel, with stock spindles, no drop. And it didn't lower it that much, it looks like a normal truck right now. I can't tell you the exact distance right at the moment because the fronts on jack stands while I'm putting the front clip on and wiring in but without the fenders it did not seem allot lower to me. The bottom of the crossmember is still 9-11" off the ground with 15" rims and 235 tires. I've been looking at it without the fenders on and am still thiking about 2" drop spindles for it in the spring. Give me a few days and e-mail me I'll let you know more after I get it off the jack stands. As a matter of fact e-mail me anyway cause I've got some pics of it on another site and

i hade a valarie front clip on the front of mine and it loked good. had no motor no trans looke about like stock height if you put a motor in it would probably settel down a few inches.
