My 53 3100 has a 12v conversion and a electric wiper motor. I’ve noticed my driver side wiper travels about 85 degrees along its path while the passenger side is easily 95+ degrees.
The drivers side of my split windshield leaves a good portion un-wiped.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solve for it?
From a pure physics/geometry perspective I could “simply” lengthen the connection arm on the driver side wiper mast/knurl and that would increase the arc length. Wanted to throw it out there before I went that route.
I went with an LMC motor and concluded after much, much analysis that one of my arms needed lengthening. Maybe there was another adjustment that I didn't know about. The picture shows the lengthened arm. I made 2 of the holes elongated slots for adjust-ability, if needed (wasn't needed). They work great.
34 Years. Now with a '61 261, 848 head, Rochester Monojet carb, SM420 4-speed, 4.10 rear, dual reservoir MC, Bendix up front, 235/85R16 tires, 12-volt w/alternator, electric wipers and a modern radio in the glove box.
Ed Pruss, I refuse to allow my old rides out in that stuff they put on the roads to melt the snow! I wonder if the instructions for the wiper explain how to correct the situation?

Do you know the make and model of the 12v conversion motor? The sweep might be adjustable. The bar on the end of the armature may be adjustable. If there is room, you might be able to change the position of the motor.
Gord - I have tried in vain to determine the maker of the wiper motor. Short of pulling the unit out (which I am trying to avoid until I know what my ‘fix’ plan is) the best I can find are two serial #s. One is likely a “quality control” #.
