Putting the final touches on my project and discovered that my drivers side mirror arm is bent. Cannot position the mirror to see out of it while in the driver's seat. Does anyone know what the arm is made out of and can it be straightned? I know new ones are available but mine has the correct patina. Thanks for ant help or thoughts on this issue. Bill

Didn't get any response so took the mirror arm to the press. Straightened out easily. I guess it is cast steel and not cast iron. Hope this helps someone else. Bill
