The posting had only been up for a couple hours or so.The fellow had a nice original grille and core support and I immediately told him I’d take it. I called him the next day and he stated that he got quite a few replies and emails offering more for it, but he was true to his word and held it for me. I picked it up last night. It is in really good shape. He wasn’t home but his wife helped me with the transaction. I gave his wife an additional $20 for him for holding it for me. Of course, I also pointed him in the direction of his site! Here’s what I got ...for $80. Happy day! ($100 after the extra $20) It is very satright, solid and only has a couple minor dings on bar 4, which I should be able to work out. As far as the really bad spots are concerned, you can polish it down to bare metal, prime it with Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer, high build primer, sand baby butt smooth and spray it with what we call "Mexican Chrome". It comes in a rattle can. It is just chrome spray paint.
(BTW, throughout my life, some of my closest friends have been from Mexico. I have learned a lot from them.)

Eventually one day, I will disassemble this one and “go for broke” and get it completely rechromed.
By the way, some of the hardest working people I have worked with have been Mexican. Good workers from what I’ve seen.
