For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 1,377 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 1,377 | I was wondering if anyone knows if the cab overs would have more of a flatter fan then the other trucks,a local junkyard has a couple and might grab them if they could be used on earlier trucks to get a the fan away from the radiator so fan belts can be changed easier, | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,214 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,214 | Per my 1951 Parts Book...1.064 1939-51 ALL COMM and UTIL....18" dia., 4-blade fan....839020 1937-51 ALL UTIL (For low speed operation)....18" dia., 6-blade....604225 Looks like they all used the same fans...nothing special about the COE's. The COE fan looked to be around 5/8 from the radiator where a same era GMC conventional was over a inch but could not find a same era Chevy to compare, should have used a truck fan when I put the water pump adapter on my 57 235 but thought they were all the same at that time. | | |
