I was wondering if anyone knows if the cab overs would have more of a flatter fan then the other trucks,a local junkyard has a couple and might grab them if they could be used on earlier trucks to get a the fan away from the radiator so fan belts can be changed easier,
I have a 49 to 54 car fan on my 37 p/u and have less then a 1/2 inch from the radiator so I picked up a original 37 fan that looks like it will be closer to the engine then what is on it and have enough room to change the belt,the 37 fan will be going on when I change the engine but the COE fan looks different then the same era car fan and might grab them while the getting is good. The COE fan looked to be around 5/8 from the radiator where a same era GMC conventional was over a inch but could not find a same era Chevy to compare,should have used a truck fan when I put the water pump adapter on my 57 235 but thought they were all the same at that time.
