Hi all, I'm wanting to know if there is a company that still makes a 1000-20 tire for my '59 Spartan 100 https://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/1291487/1959-spartan-100-winch-truck.html

It still has the original Budd wheels with the big 'snap ring' on them. I like the look of them along with the tall sidewall of the tire, makes the truck look more beefy than it already is
The only tire I've come across so far is the 1000-20 offered by Coker Tire, though its a whitewall.

It looks like a lot of Chinese companies?

If the cokers are white walls just turn them around. Just continue to do a search, should be out there somewhere.

Nebraska Tire has both Mud/Snow and Hi-Way/Steer Bias 10.00x20 tires.

Hy Possum, I believe the wheels your friend gave you are hub pilot wheels which won't fit your hubs correctly, you will have to find some 22.5" Budd wheels and swap the tires over.

I have, and I noticed that. Never bought a Chinese-made tire before so I don't know how trustworthy they are.

i also recommend the Samson tire brand,
they are made for working, i have a set of 4 on my one ton and hauled gravel until i was nearly bottomed out on the auxiliary leafs
the coker tires are for show only, they would fail if you tried to use them for actual work

I have Samsons on my 630, not many miles, but work OK.

I'll second that the modern hub piloted wheels are not a replacement for your stud piloted wheels.
Even if the bolt pattern is similar the wheel won't be supported to run true or carry the load as intended.

Wow!, I'd love to have a set of those 10.00x20, U.S. Royal gangster whitewalls, on my COE, but $1300ea., is a bit much.

Thanks guys, looks like I'll be on the hunt for some stud piloted wheels. Plus I still need to go by the tire shop and see if they'll work on these original Budds.
