Anybody seen a mirror like this one - - there are no markings or identification on it, and I need one similar for the right side of this stake body one ton. This one was on there when I got it and no records showing when or where purchased. I can't find one similar except for the stand alone bar without mountings on some sites. Would like it to match, mounts etc. Nice mirror setup, just can't find one like it anywhere.

Does it mount with the Ball swivel on back (mirror) side then nut?
Todd
I have the same mirror. A Re pop. They make in Chrome or Black. I have a brand new in box black one I never used.

The mount is original.
GM made a matching mount kit for the passenger side { GM part # 986441 & 986130 }.

The telescoping rod & square mirror head have not changed in design over the years & they can be found in the parts dept. of any large truck stop.

You are right Mother - I have found similar rods and the mirror - separate items on several big truck websites, but no mount kit even close to the one on the truck. It is good to know it was an original accessory part. I will look for the original GM mount you were able to share with us. I appreciate that help. Not sure where or if such a part may be found though, but I will start looking. Anyway, thanks for your response, and for the great pictures you included.

Todd, yes, the mirror is mounted on the rod as you described.

Just caught the second part of your message Todd. I would need the chrome version to match the left side that's already on there. I have even considered buying the the original NOS brackets which I found at $30 in one place and a complete set with the mounting instructions and template for $95 at another, get it chromed and get the rod and mirror separate to make the set. But if you know the manufacturer or seller of the re-pop chrome version and could share that with me I would sure like to see if any are still available. Thanks for sharing that information.

Dale,
I bought the "painted" Outside Mirror Head, its black Part # AD-475-OMHOS was $12.00 From Bowtiebits. Page 77 of the catalog. They offer "Stainless"AD-475-OMHSR $12.00.
Make sure it matches the one you have. It looks like the exact one looking at your picture. Too bad you don't need a black one. I would give it to you.
Todd

Good information Todd. I am ordering the stainless mirror version from BB to match the other one I already have, but thanks for the offer and for your follow-up on this thread. Makes Stovebolt a good place to be.
