I am looking for some guidance on how and where to attached the brake pedal return spring on my 1948 chevy 3/4 ton truck - I have the spring from "the Filling Station" but not clear how an where to attach it- HELP!
It attaches from the bottom arm of the pedal near where the master cylinder pushrod attaches and to a bracket on the top flange of the frame rail forward of the pedal shaft. Did you also get the extension between the spring and pedal arm? That's a straight wire with a hook on each end. The info is also in the Factory Assembly Manual. Section 5, Sheet 2.00

Should be available on Amazon. 1947-1954 Truck Factory Assembly Manual
Almost a must-have for restorers.

Here is the page Kevin is talking about. In addition to the spring there is an extension rod thats also available from most of the on line vendors.

I bought mine from Classic parts and it worked perfect. https://www.classicparts.com/1947-54-Brake-Pedal-Return-Spring-Extension/productinfo/71%2D295/
