Hello , I have a 52 half ton panel with a spun bearing in Barre,Vermont... I live in Epping,NH. However I finally got the engine out .. and now I am tring to figure out what size bearing inserts to get after completing the plastic guaging on the journels ... [words deleted by the moderator] ... The body and frame is in very good shape .. (sorry .. if this is the wrong forum .. I was not sure which forum to write in ) Sincerley, Wendell Sanborn
P.S. it has different wheels and tires than the ones in the picture.

You didn’t provide us near enough information to help you out. What year is the engine? What are the numbers on the machined pad just aft of the distributor? A ‘52 came with a 216ci and babbitted rods. Unless it has been machined to accept rod bearing inserts you’ve made a wrong turn. This sounds like a thinly veiled attempt to sell it especially since you posted a photo with a for sale sign in the window. If you want to sell it as it is just put a for sale ad in the Swap Meet Forum.

Do you need a ride?
AAA?
Did you pull the engine on the side of the road?
Do you need a purchase offer?
Is this really your truck?

Wendell, you might get more responses in the Engine Forum. Provide information on the size and year of your engine.

You also might want to post your engine serial number, and various block and head casting codes.
Let's assume you have the original 216 engine: code locations on 216 engines

What "bearing inserts" are you referring to?
Are you referring to the connecting rod bearing shims or main bearing shims that are described in the 1950 Truck Shop Manual?

Regarding your wheels and tires: the wheel and tires will not affect engine bearings and/or shims.
