I read Alan Horvath's page, and I like the angled underdash mounts he made... but isn't there a company out there that makes engineered sound systems for pickemup trucks?
I'd like to have some sort of subwoofer under the seat, high frequency tweeters maybe on the dash... but the big problem is where the hell to mount the main power drivers (usually 6x9's on the rear deck if you're thinking Camaro...)
I need sweet sound. Who's been down this road before, and what was the solution?

We put tweeters at ear level in the vertical panel of the cab "where the upper seat belt bolt is located". We installed "Mids" in the back panel of the cab below the rear window. The gas tank was relocated to the bed so we had all that room for the bass speaker. In the center of the cab on the back we made up a panel to hold the Amp and Capacitor "I think that's what it was called" and some other goodies. I wanted to install some 12" in the panel but it's not my truck.....he went with one of those Bazooka tubes that sits on the floor and placed it behind the seat. Now on my 70 P.u. I just purchased some 3-way speakers that come in their own enclosure "box" and bolted them to the back of my seat and I was done

I put two Pioneer 6X9's in boxes under the seat facing forward, and two little tweeters up by the sun visors. The fuel tank is still behind the seat, so not very many options for a subwoofer.
It sounds okay... but it could be a whole lot better.
Relocating the tank looks like a pretty complicated mod.

I would relocate the 6x9's to the doors (you will have to make a hole thought in the door) then put the 12" where the gas tank was. If you go to Custom Sounds or Alpha Audio (or your local sound system pace, not bestbuy) they will have a box that will fit where the gas tank was.
