It has Eaton floating axles and an HO52 carrier. I found a good Tech tip on this rear end with part numbers for a number of parts but not for the oil seal.

That's the same one I show. It fits practically all 3/4 & I ton GM trucks plum into the 90's. Any parts store should have it. George They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | | | | Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 444 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 444 | | | | | | Joined: Mar 2019 Posts: 1,003 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2019 Posts: 1,003 | The 2081 seals are also on ebay. Meanwhile, I'm going through boxes and drawers after not working on my truck for 10+ years and ran across a seal in a box and it is a 2081. No doubt it's for my truck! Why I have one and not two or maybe I replaced one and not the other? and if so which one? I better buy another and replace both. Thanks again for your help. | | |
