I have recently began gathering big bolts. I have been lurking on here for the last couple months learning what I can. I do have a few questions that I am hoping fellow members here can be of help with. I'm going to have to divide this up into three or so posts do to the 5 pic limit.
#1 What differential is this? (Pics in this post) It is from a 45 GMC (body tag CC 1 or I 303), it is a 2 speed model with square housing ends instead of round. #2 Was it only Chevrolet that had the 5/10 wheel sets? This GMC had 5/5 with a bigger lug and center hub that the Chevs I have.
Onto next batch of pics.

Too many to work on 4 bolts, 2 square bodies, 4 GMT400s...and those are the keepers
#3 Is this the "bolt on" cover talked about being the difference between 1.5T and 2T? #4 What is the difference in rim styles. All 27 rims I have are 20" split rims (no RH5*), 6 are from the GMC and are 5 lug only with a larger hub and stud holes, 4 have 8 hand windows (is this the correct term?) and seem to be a bit beefier, the remaining 17 are of the 5 hand window style.
I know this trucks are all over 70 years on so I'm sure many parts have been mixed and matched (the GMC diff is under the 6400 Chev) but the mix of rims gets me a bit. The 6400 has 2 of the 8 window rims and the other 2 came on the 1940 1.5T.
#5 I know the fenders on big bolts have bigger wheel opening than the 1T and down versions. The green truck in the last 2 pics seems to have smaller openings that the other 46's. Could these be a pickup set?
Included is an obligatory pic of the whole lineup cause I know somebody will ask.
Thanks in advance for the help and info all.

Looks like you understand the 1.5 ton and 2 ton axle difference.
The variety of wheel hand hole styles is mostly year related, the 8 hand hole 20” used mostly prior to 1948 in by experience, but I have no research or literature to verify.
The somewhat unusual 5 hand hole hub piloted wheels I think are “Motor Wheels” bolt pattern and or wheel brand/design. (Unless that’s a 1 ton gmc with smaller than 20” wheels and I’m mistaken on bolt pattern.) Used on a few GMCs but not Chevy although during same time both used the 5/10 lug on 7.25” pattern as well. Recently someone is selling a very rare set of 22.5 wheels in swap meet section with this pattern.
Hy BigBlockMan, welcome, I believe the differential is a Timken double reduction two speed with vacuum shift. I'm with Grigg on the wheel hand hold pattern, I'm not sure what years they were used in, I have a few of them but by no means a set. The wheels are Motor wheels yours have the five bolt pattern there are also some that are six bolt pattern. Good luck with your truck(s).
