| | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 398 Member | | Member Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 398 | Wingnut-I don't have firsthand experience with this, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that the new "one piece" tierod ends were being introduced widely as standard replacements for older vehicles with the "ball and socket" ends. You might want to check with a knowledgeable parts person at your local NAPA, Carquest, etc. Remember, it's sometimes better to try to deal with the older fellas behind the counter, as they might have more knowledge of what you're working on. Screwed right on the existing threads - easy. The existing ball had to be removed from the other steering part - just grind the weld, drill a hole, stick a punch in the hole, support, pound. No problem. Bought them at Chevy Duty, I believe. | | |
