The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area The HiPo Shop Gas tank suggestions....

I have been reading thru some of the archives for the gas tank and I just don't know what to do...so I thought I would open it up for suggestions.

I am sorry if my brainstorming is annoying any of you.

Anyway....I want to go ahead and move the gas tank to the back and patch/blend the current filler area on the cab.

The question is what should I do with the filler.

Has any put it going straight out to the license plate area? I don't want to be anywhere obvious...I am looking for a clean smooth look for the truck.

I doubt I will be putting on any emblems on her either.

*sigh* open for ideas!

You can:
1. run it out the back but worry about tailgate clearance.
2. build it into the floor of the box but could be a pita when stuff is loaded in the back.
3. run the filler out the side. I've seen nice grafts of filler openings with doors mounted in the rear portion of the rear fender.
