Mine is original and not new, if that matters.

lane in mt. hermon, louisiana If you buy your new gasket from Steele Rubber the installation will be easy. I understand from others that used other products from other vendors had more difficulties. Use soapy water to lubricate the gasket channel as you work your way around the window and frame. I used the cheap Harbor Freight plastic tool set to gently coax the gasket into place. With the glass and frame on a work bench it took less than 45 minutes to complete the task by my self. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 97 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 97 | thanks to you both ........... my gasket came from our favorite chevy vender on stovebolt but my old frame that I cleaned up and repainted was very tight around the 2 bends on one side and the gasket simply would not go thru' the more narrow spot ............ my problem may be the frame ............ thanks again
