I am going to be listing my 66 C60, have not done so yet, i know there will be a lot of variables to consider in putting a value to the truck. My question is, can anyone recommend a resource that would help me value the truck? It is in unfinished project stage at rhis point, but life has a way of changing priorities for you sometimes. Thanks for any advice given.

Hy captandy, If you would post some pictures and describe to us where the truck is in its "project" state we would be better able to tell you what value to place on it. Tell us what has been done to it so far and what remains to be done, hope that helps.

I had my 1942 1.5 ton flatbed appraised by Zachary Romer with the Automobile Appraisers Association. He charged me $200 for the appraisal and I honestly can say I was extremely pleased with his report and valuation. He compares comparable vehicles in his appraisal.with yours....yes condition and originality come into play in his valuation. Actually with these older trucks the more original they are the more he values them.

Okay here is what has been done so far:
1. I had an exta cab shipped from AZ so i could make one good one from two okay ones. Mine had rust issues.
2. Sent instrument cluster to be refurbished by a guy in KY. Looks like brand new. He did a great job.
3. All new brakes; brake lines, brake wheel cylinders, master cylinder, dual chamber hydrovac, all new brake shoes.
4. Removed old split rim widow maker wheels and replaced with Dayton wedge wheels.
5.from cab back frame cleaned and painted.
6. New drive axle, and rear stabilizing shocks.
7. New radiator.
8.basic engine tune up, plugs,wires, points, oil, filters, etc
Engine runs like a top.

Well, you’ve done a lot of the hard stuff. The value +/- is in the series. The 1/2 tons bring in the most cash. It’s what most people want thus the price goes up. It takes a special buyer to get the Big Bolt scene. Someone wanting to build a car hauler or wrecker would be far more interested than someone looking for a cruiser. In my neck of the woods you can’t hardly give away anything larger than 3/4 ton. Every farmer has an old wheat truck out behind the barn. The exception in your case is the amount of work you’ve already done. I would think $5000 would be a fair price around Oklahoma. Good luck when you do list it.
