54 gmc Canadian model does the peddle shaft come out with the one nut and lock washer holding it or is there something I missed can’t see very well as it goes through the bracket that holds the master cylinder to the frame .have my new bushings in the peddle arms but they need to be honed and I would like to fit them from topside and not from under the truck .any help would be great thanks
Well I honed one bushing and man they were thick ,used a brake hone and finished with some sand paper took a few hours of messing around .i think a adjustable reamer is what I would try next time.the 2nd peddle bushing is almost done . I noticed on the shaft there was the pattern from the old bushing so I think the old bushings were moving in the peddle arms.
