this guy I'm getting this 350 blocks from also has a 12 bolt rear end he got out of a 89 TA. it's got disk brakes, and also a posi in it. he hasn't pulled the cover so internal condition is unknown, but we'll pull it together when I got over there friday.

would this axle be the right width for my 1950 truck? (could save me a bundle of $$$)

1989 Firebird (Third Generation F-Body) will be too wide to fit the AD, according to most sources.

Most guys suggest the earlier ('70-'81) Camaro/Firebird rearend as they claim the width is right on.

I've got the second gen. rearend, but no truck yet, so I can't offer you first hand advice, Solo. I'm sure someone who's already done it will chime in here before too long.

solo, go count the diff cover bolts.
there AIN'T no 12 bolts made in the later years...

btw, i wouldn't be too afraid of it' though..

put a tape to it and see if it'll fit.
60-61" and it'll be ok to use

much more than that and wheel choice will go all to heck.

i miss obscene phone calls...
