I was wondering if anyone has put one piece window glass in the doors of a 53 or any other year truck that came with a vent window. I have my truck chopped already and want to put one piece glass but don't want to put 48 doors on it. Has anyone done this? Is it Possible? Thanks for the input.

I have not done it to a truck but I did it to a VW a long time ago and it was a piece of cake. rip out the vent cut the post mounts and slide a new piece of channel around the entire window.
for a window template a glass guy told me to use a piece of 1/4 masonite. install it and get it working just like it was glass then take it in to the glass shop to get the real thing.

I'm chopping my 53 and want 1 piece windows. I have a perfect set of 54 doors that I would like to use. I just bought a set of 48 doors but they aren't nearly as solid as the 54's. You can look in the 48 doors and see an extra window channel toward the front. It would be very difficult to install that in the 54 doors. Still looking for answers.
