Looking for a few good pictures of the throttle linkage bracket that bolts to the firewall on a 1955 second series 1/2 or 3/4 ton truck with a V-8 engine.
Particularly where it bolts to firewall and such. Brian

as close as I've got from my ol 58 ... then there's the vendor pics like this .... don't know that all the 55's had the attachment holes, but all the later years did and they're obvious

As Bill said, once you have the linkage in hand it's will be obvious what two holes it bolts into...I've never seen a TF cab without the factory holes...

I previously made 3 conversions from 6 cyl to V-8's. One was a 55 3600, the other my 56 3100, and a 57 Cameo. None of them had the holes in the firewall or were dimpled for the holes. Currently working on a 57 3100, it has the holes in place but only one of the holes in the aftermarket bracket lines up with the holes in the firewall. The owner located an original V-8 linkage and it fits perfectly. Fred

I did the 3600 conversion after I did my 56 so I used mine as a guide. I have discovered that the after market linkage is assembled incorrectly. It has to be taken apart, then plug the ball into the pedal to determine which direction it pushes the lever, then assemble it and drill the corresponding holes. It's a little time consuming but it does fit and work. Fred
