Does anyone have or can you point me to any specs. or photos of a stock 47-54 swing out Spare Tire Carrier Assembly? I just purchased one and all the parts are supposed to be there but I am not sure what goes where. A photo of one installed or a video of one in action would help figure out how to install it.

That is a 1951-1954 wheel carrier.

That illustration might help?

This is the carrier used on the 1940-1950 1/2 Ton. Design change for 1951-54 as shown in Tim's post.

Thanks Tim and Harold. This is what I needed. I did not think to check the Old Manual site.

Dave, I tried to ship it assembled but it made the box too large. It's really simple assembly - here's a photo attached (lower pic is your style):

It should have another bracket toward the left side where the row of holes are. I just posted a photo of that bracket for another member here.
Just looking at the FAM for various models and it looks like that bracket is only used on the 1 ton and larger trucks, but not the 1/2 and 3/4 tons. So you (and I) have all the pieces needed for 3100's. The strap across the bottom is the same for both big and little bolts.

I think my truck must of had the spare tire carrier at one point. I think the cross members are still mounted to my frame. I will know better when I climb under there to mount. Thanks for all the information.
